Meet Lisa: Black Therapist in Toronto

Congratulations on taking this step! My name is Lisa. I strive to provide a welcoming, safe space where we can work together to explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions. As a Jamaican immigrant and a parent, I understand the stresses, pressures, and challenges that can come with life and how difficult they can be to navigate. I believe that we all have what we need inside, and sometimes we just need some help to get there. This is what I'm here to offer you, because you deserve to be heard, validated, understood and truly seen.

By utilizing a trauma-informed, culturally aware, person-centered and strength-based approach, I will work with you to understand your therapy goals and create a customized treatment plan. I support clients with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress/burnout, racial identity, and self-esteem. I utilize an eclectic approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and a Biopsychosocial lens amongst other therapeutic techniques.

Please feel free to schedule a free 15-min consultation for us to meet each other and see if we're a good fit. I can't wait to go on this journey with you! - Lisa.
